Application description

Widely used in electrical and electronic industries (transformer windings, flexible busbars, cable shielding, flexible printed circuits), roofing and flashing (architectural copper), automotive heat exchangers (radiators, condensers), industrial gaskets, solar thermal collectors, and decorative trim. The coil form allows high-speed stamping, roll forming, and deep drawing for mass production. Pure copper coils offer excellent conductivity; brass coils provide strength and corrosion resistance for hardware and decorative applications.

Production description

Copper ingot is hot rolled to reduce thickness, then cold rolled to achieve precise gauge and surface finish. The strip is coiled, annealed to achieve desired temper, and optionally pickled, polished, or coated. The coil is slit to required width, inspected, and packed.

Shipping Packaging

For export, copper coils are wrapped with VCI paper and moisture-proof polyethylene, placed on ISPM-15 wooden pallets or steel skids, secured with steel straps, and fitted with edge protectors and coil protectors. Labels include grade, dimensions, coil weight, and heat number for safe sea freight.

Why Choose Us?

Factory Strength:Direct manufacturer with hot rolling and cold rolling mills, precision slitting lines, and annealing furnaces, producing copper coils in pure copper (T2, TP2, C11000, C12200), brass (H62–H85), and bronze (QSn6.5-0.1, C51900) with thickness 0.1–12mm, width up to 1500mm.

Quality Assurance:Strict control of chemical composition, electrical conductivity (≥97% IACS for pure copper), mechanical properties (tensile, yield, elongation, hardness), and thickness tolerance (±0.02mm); 100% eddy current or ultrasonic testing available; compliant with ASTM B152, EN 1652, JIS H3100, GB/T 2059.

Certifications & Reports:Mill test certificates (MTC) with each shipment; third-party inspections (SGS, BV) and test reports (conductivity, tensile, hardness, coating adhesion for coated coils) available upon request.

Customization & Service:Wide alloy range (pure copper, brass, bronze), thickness 0.1–12mm, custom widths (100–1500mm), coil weights (1–8 tons), tempers (soft, half hard, hard), surface finishes (mill, cold rolled, pickled, polished, coated), and fast lead times.

Export Packaging:VCI paper + moisture-proof polyethylene + ISPM-15 wooden pallets/steel skids + steel strapping + edge/coil protectors + clear labeling for safe sea freight and corrosion prevention.

FAQ

1. How to store copper coils to prevent surface oxidation and edge damage?

Store in dry, clean warehouse on wooden pallets or steel skids, keep original VCI paper and moisture-proof wrapping intact. Avoid contact with concrete, wet ground, acids, or ammonia. For long-term storage, maintain humidity below 60%. Keep coils upright (eye vertical) to prevent distortion. Minor tarnish can be removed with a mild acid dip or abrasive pad before use.

2. Can copper coils be stamped, deep drawn, or roll-formed easily?

Yes. Soft (annealed) temper offers the best formability for deep drawing, complex stamping, and tight radius bending. Half hard and hard tempers are suitable for lighter stamping and roll forming where higher strength is needed. Use proper lubrication and tooling designed for copper to avoid galling or tearing. For best results, request samples for process validation.

3. What is the difference between pure copper, brass, and bronze coils for electrical and decorative applications?

Pure copper (T2, C11000) has the highest electrical conductivity (≥97% IACS), ideal for transformer windings, busbars, and flexible circuits. Brass coils (e.g., H65, H68) offer higher strength, good corrosion resistance, and a gold-like appearance, suitable for decorative trim, radiator tanks, and hardware. Bronze coils (e.g., C51900) provide superior wear resistance and corrosion in marine environments, used for spring contacts and gaskets. Choose based on conductivity, strength, or aesthetics.
