Application

Aluminum tubes are widely used in all walks of life, such as: automobiles, ships, aerospace, aviation, electrical appliances, agriculture, electrical, home, etc., aluminum tubes are everywhere in our lives.

Application description

Widely used in architectural structures (handrails, curtain walls, window frames), transportation (bicycle frames, automotive parts, aircraft components), furniture (tables, chairs, shelving), HVAC systems (ducting, condenser coils), electrical enclosures, lighting poles, and sporting goods (tent poles, fishing rods). Also suitable for irrigation systems, pneumatic cylinders, and marine fittings. The lightweight, corrosion resistance, and formability make it ideal for both structural and decorative applications.

Production description

Aluminum billet is heated and extruded through a precision die to form the desired cross-section, whether round, square, rectangular, oval, hexagonal, or other custom profiles. For seamless tubes, direct extrusion is used; for welded tubes, aluminum strip is roll-formed and seam welded. Extruded tubes are stretched, cut to length, heat treated (T5, T6, etc.), and surface finished (anodized, powder coated, or brushed). Custom dies available for complex shapes.

Shipping Packaging

For export, aluminum tubes (including custom shapes) are bundled with interleaved separators, wrapped with VCI paper and moisture-proof polyethylene, packed on ISPM-15 pallets, secured with steel straps, and fitted with end/edge protectors. Labels include alloy, shape, dimensions, length, and heat number for safe sea freight.

Why Choose Us?

1.Factory Strength:Direct manufacturer with advanced extrusion presses, custom die making capability, and heat treatment lines, producing seamless and welded aluminum tubes in round, square, rectangular, oval, hexagonal, D-shaped, and other complex profiles.

2.Quality Assurance:Strict control of alloy composition (6061, 6063, 7075, etc.), temper (T5, T6, T651), dimensional accuracy (±0.1mm for precision extrusions), and surface finish; 100% inspection; compliant with ASTM B221, EN 755, JIS H4100, GB/T 5237.

3.Certifications & Reports:Mill test certificates (MTC) with each shipment; third-party inspections (SGS, BV) and mechanical test/chemical composition reports available upon request.

4.Customization & Service:Wide alloy range, any custom shape (dies available), outer diameter 6–300mm, wall 0.5–20mm, custom lengths up to 12m, surface finishes (mill, anodized, powder coated, brushed, polished), and fast lead times.

5.Export Packaging:Interleaved separators + VCI paper + moisture-proof wrapping + ISPM-15 pallets + steel strapping + end/edge protectors + clear labeling for safe sea freight and scratch-free delivery.

FAQ

1. How to store aluminum tubes to prevent surface oxidation and scratching?

Store in dry, clean area on wooden pallets or racks, keep original protective wrapping intact. Avoid direct contact with concrete or wet ground. For anodized or polished tubes, use soft separators between layers to prevent scratching. Do not store with copper, steel, or other dissimilar metals to avoid galvanic corrosion.

2. What is the difference between 6061 and 6063 aluminum tubes for structural use?

6063 is softer and has a better surface finish, ideal for decorative and architectural applications like railings, window frames, and furniture. 6061 offers higher strength and better machinability, suitable for structural frames, automotive parts, and heavy-load applications. For high-strength aerospace use, choose 7075.

3. Can aluminum tubes be bent or welded easily?

Yes. 6063 tubes are excellent for bending (use proper mandrel benders). 6061 can also be bent but requires larger radii. Welding is straightforward with TIG or MIG using appropriate filler rods (4043 or 5356). For best results, clean the weld area thoroughly and remove oxide layer. Annealed (O temper) tubes are easiest for forming; T6 temper requires more care.
