Application description:

Widely used in chemical plants (platforms, walkways), water treatment facilities (drainage covers, trench grates), food processing plants (anti-slip flooring), marine and offshore structures (boat decks, docks), electrical substations (insulated flooring), and commercial buildings (ramps, ventilation grilles). Also suitable for swimming pools, laboratories, and mining operations. The corrosion resistance, lightweight, and non-conductive properties make it ideal for harsh, wet, or electrically sensitive environments.

Production description

Fiberglass rovings and resin (polyester, vinyl ester, or phenolic) are placed into a heated mold. Under pressure, the resin cures and bonds with the glass fibers to form a rigid grid. For pultruded grating, continuous fibers are pulled through a resin bath and heated die to shape. After demolding, panels are trimmed and surface finished.

Shipping Packaging

For export, FRP grating panels are stacked flat with interleaved foam or wooden separators, secured with steel straps, fitted with edge protectors, and packed on ISPM-15 pallets or in wooden crates. Labels include resin type, mesh size, panel dimensions, and quantity for safe sea freight.

Why Choose Us?

1.Factory Strength:Direct manufacturer with compression molding and pultrusion lines, ensuring consistent mesh opening, uniform panel thickness (15–38mm), and stable mechanical properties for orthophthalic, isophthalic, vinyl ester, and phenolic resin types.

2.Quality Assurance:Strict control of resin-to-glass ratio, flexural strength (80–250MPa), fire rating (Class 1 for phenolic), and surface slip resistance; 100% visual and dimensional inspection; compliant with ASTM D635, ISO 14129, BS 4592.

3.Certifications & Reports:Mill test certificates (MTC) with each shipment; third-party inspections (SGS, BV) and fire/smoke/mechanical test reports available upon request.

4.Customization & Service:Wide mesh sizes (25×25 to 50×50mm), panel dimensions (up to 1.22×3.66m standard, custom available), resin types (general, corrosion, chemical, fire retardant), colors (yellow, green, grey, red, blue, custom), and anti-slip surface finishes with fast lead times.

5.Export Packaging:Flat stacking with foam/wooden separators + steel strapping + edge protectors + ISPM-15 pallets/wooden crates + clear labeling for safe sea freight and scratch-free delivery.

FAQ

1. How to store FRP grating to prevent warping and surface damage?

Store on level, dry ground on wooden pallets or sleepers, stack flat with separators between layers. Avoid exposure to direct UV for long periods (unprotected resin may degrade). For outdoor storage, cover with opaque tarpaulin. Clean with mild detergent and water; avoid harsh solvents that may attack the resin.

2. Which resin type should I choose for my environment?

Orthophthalic polyester: general purpose, good for dry or mildly humid indoor use. Isophthalic polyester: better corrosion and water resistance, suitable for wastewater, marine, and chemical splash areas. Vinyl ester: excellent resistance to acids, alkalis, and solvents, ideal for chemical plants and aggressive environments. Phenolic: fire-retardant, low smoke, and low toxic gas emission, required for fire-safe applications like offshore platforms and escape routes.

3. Is FRP grating slip-resistant, and how does it compare to steel grating?

Yes. Standard FRP grating has a concave or grit-top surface providing good slip resistance. For extra anti-slip, we offer convex surface with quartz sand coating. FRP is less slippery than smooth steel and comparable to serrated steel grating, but FRP offers additional benefits: corrosion resistance, lightweight, electrical insulation, and no sparks upon impact – ideal for chemical, electrical, and wet environments.
