Mainly used for building structure, engineering structures such as beams, bridges, transmission towers, lifting and transport machinery. |
Application description
Widely used in steel structure buildings (columns, beams, portal frames), high-rise construction, industrial plants, bridges (girders, crossbeams), crane runways, mezzanine floors, shipbuilding, and heavy equipment supports. Also suitable for tunnel supports, tower frameworks, and large-span roofing. The parallel flanges and high section modulus provide excellent load-bearing capacity and bending resistance for modern structural engineering.

Production description
Carbon/alloy steel billet is heated to 1150–1250°C, then hot rolled through universal roughing and finishing mills to form the H-shaped crosssection with parallel flanges and vertical web. The beam is straightened, cut to length, and cooled. Surface finish as-rolled (black) or painted.

Shipping Packaging
For export, H-beams are bundled with interleaved separators, secured with steel straps, fitted with edge protectors, and packed on ISPM-15 pallets or steel frames. Labels include grade, size, length, quantity, and heat number for safe sea freight.
Why Choose Us?
1.Factory Strength:Direct manufacturer with universal hot rolling mills, straightening lines, and precision cutting equipment, ensuring consistent H-shaped dimensions, parallel flange flatness, and stable mechanical properties for sizes 100×100mm up to 1000×300mm.
2.Quality Assurance:Strict control of web/flange thickness, height/width tolerances (±2mm), straightness (≤0.1% of length), and surface finish; 100% dimensional inspection; compliant with ASTM A36, EN 10025-2, JIS G3192, GB/T 11263.
3.Certifications & Reports:Mill test certificates (MTC) with each shipment; third-party inspections (SGS, BV) and mechanical property reports (yield, tensile, elongation) available upon request.
4.Customization & Service:Wide grade range (Q235B–Q390B, S235JR–S355JR, SS400, A36, A572), full size series (HW, HM, HN), custom lengths (6–18m), surface finishes (black, painted, galvanized), and drilling/cutting with fast lead times.
5.Export Packaging:Interleaved separators + steel strapping + edge protectors + ISPM-15 pallets/steel frames + clear labeling for safe sea freight and damage-free delivery.
FAQ
1. How to store H-beams to prevent bending and corrosion?
Store on level, dry ground on wooden sleepers or steel racks, support beams along their full length to prevent sagging. Stack with separators between layers to maintain shape. For long-term storage, apply rust preventive oil and keep under cover. Surface rust is common and can be removed by wire brushing before use. Avoid point loading to keep flanges parallel.
2. Can H-beams be welded or bolted easily?
Yes. H-beams are designed for structural connections. Welding (MIG, arc, submerged arc) is straightforward using standard carbon steel procedures. For bolted connections, drill holes through web or flanges as needed. Always clean welding area from scale or coating. For galvanized beams, remove zinc coating near weld zone or use proper ventilation. For heavy loads, use splice plates and high-strength bolts.
3. What is the difference between H-beam and I-beam?
H-beam has parallel flanges and a wider flange-to-web ratio, offering higher bending and torsional strength, ideal for columns and heavy-loaded beams in steel structures. I-beam has tapered, narrower flanges and lighter weight, suitable for medium spans and lighter loads. H-beam is more efficient for multi-directional loading, while I-beam is economical for simple bending applications.
